Gold Star banners honor service members who died while serving their country.
Eligibility Requirements
- The service member died while on active duty in the U.S. Armed Forces
(Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, and Space Force) - The death occurred:
- In combat, or
- As a result of wounds sustained in combat, or
- During active-duty service (including training accidents or service-related incidents)
